OPS Connections and Prices Database
-
The OPS Connections and Prices Database catalogues 200+ shore power connection points across EU ports, capturing system specifications, AFIR designation, tariff structures, and pricing where publicly available. Drawing on port authority tariff publications, AFIR TEN-T designation lists, DNV, EMSA, ICCT, ESPO, and operational data from members and partners, the database documents shore power infrastructure across five layers of granularity: connection point, berth, terminal, port, and country.Rather than treating "shore power availability" as a binary label, the database judges operational and commercial reality: installed capacity, connection standard, AFIR status, and where applicable, the tariff a shipowner can expect to pay. This is the layer most often missing from public reporting, and the one that determines whether a vessel's compliance strategy actually works in the next reporting year. In short, this tool helps you with:
Investment scoping – Identify where OPS infrastructure exists or is still missing, with installed capacity and connection standard for each point.
Tariff transparency – Clarity on the patchwork of pricing models (volumetric, fixed fees, hybrid) with structured comparison across ports, terminals, and member states.
Project planning – Use the five-layer methodology to scope work from a single connection point up to a country-wide investment view, with consistent data definitions at every layer.
Compliance benchmarking – Compare shore power prices against onboard generation costs across EU ports under FuelEU Maritime.
The database is continuously updated - if you like to add any additional points feel free to do so in the form below
