Equans
Sustainable Ships developed a suite of e-mobility decision tools to support sales, investment, and energy planning.
Equans required practical, easy-to-use tools to support the commercial rollout of e-mobility solutions, while also improving internal decision-making around investments and energy constraints. Over a six-month period, the focus was on translating complex technical and financial considerations into tools that could be used directly in client conversations and early project development.
Sustainable Ships developed three dedicated tools for Equans e-mobility. These included a sales calculator for EV charging infrastructure, an exploitation calculator to translate capital investments into “as-a-service” propositions, and a depot analysis tool to configure integrated solutions addressing grid congestion at client depots. The tools are used to generate on-the-spot budget estimates during client discussions and to support first-stage internal investment decisions. In parallel, Sustainable Ships guided Equans in structuring the models, ensuring full ownership of data, logic, and calculations, and enabling Equans to maintain and reuse the tools independently going forward.
