The IMO Net-Zero Calculator evaluates a vessel’s greenhouse gas (GHG) performance under the IMO’s evolving decarbonization framework, including the upcoming GHG Fuel Standard and WtW (well-to-wake) intensity targets. It calculates emissions intensity when using up to four different types of fuel and electricity, based on fuel-specific properties and prices, leading to a yearly cost overview of fuel price and IMO Net-Zero penalty.The tool is built with strategic purposes in mind, e.g. compliance managers, business developers, commercial teams, and sustainability officers. The tool supports forward-looking scenario modelling to estimate regulatory exposure, evaluate alternative fuels, and identify cost-effective decarbonization strategies. Users can simulate multiple fuel mixes and consumption profiles to assess IMO alignment and anticipate upcoming regulatory thresholds. Additionally the user can compare total costs vs. LFO equivalent costs to compare different strategies at an energetic level. Outputs can be exported via a standardized PDF for internal reporting, emissions audits, investor due diligence, or integration into company-wide GHG forecasts.
