Estimated impact on operations is moderate

Amendments to MARPOL Annex VI, adopted in 2016, requires all ships above 5000 GT engaged in international voyage to collect and report their fuel oil consumption data via IMO Data Collection System (DCS). SEEMP PART II should describe the methodology how the required data is collected for a ship and the plan should be confirmed by the Administration or a Recognized Organization. The required annual data consists of total bunkered fuel, distance travelled and hours under way.
